Phang: How are these Epstein victims supposed to feel about closure when you see Blanche meeting with Maxwell and then giving her a minimum-security camp move?

And now, conversations allegedly that Trump is going to have with the DOJ about pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell. It is an abomination

“.. we’re going to take care of our people,” Trump added. “There are some people that really don’t deserve to be taken care of. And we’ll take care of them in a different way.”

My kid dressed up as Bob Ross for Halloween a few years ago (he was 10 or 11). His idea, not mine. Grew out his curly hair and everything.

I hope Ross's paintings sell for astronomical prices, because I can't imagine a better cause to benefit from his wonderful body of work.
Bob Ross paintings to be auctioned to support public TV stations after federal funding cuts
Thirty paintings created by the bushy-haired, soft-spoken Bob Ross will soon be up for auction to defray the costs of programming for small and rural public television stations suffering under cuts in...

Early voting is underway for Prop 50 in California.

I urge anyone in the state to vote yes.

This isn’t a race to the bottom. It’s a means of avoiding the bottom. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/what-blue-states-should-do-when-red

It seems clear—I think to everyone, now—that a false and illegal invocation of the Insurrection Act is coming before the end of the year. Media outlets should be telling us how they will prepare for this potential Treason. State governments should be telling us. Activists should be developing plans.

All these headlines saying “Bondi Goes on the Attack.” Really? She wasn’t in the octagon, she’s a public servant who was at an oversight hearing. Her job was to answer questions. She refused to do her job. Stop glamorizing and whitewashing this moronic, performative bullshit.

The condescension of two-bit Attorney General Pamela Jo Bondi today underscores that the only thing this administration excels at is a complete lack of self-awareness.

The subhed here is a master class in corporate journalism rewarding malfeasance via semantics

Bondi didn't valiantly fend something off, she refused to answer legitimate questions before Congress because the answers would be horrifying and politically inconvenient

And that's a profile in cowardice

Pam Bondi’s defensive attacks against Senate Democrats questioning her was not the flex she thinks it was. All it did was vividly point out how she has abandoned Justice Dept. independence to serve the desires of her authoritarian boss.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

This has nothing to do with crime. This is an attempt to crush political dissent.

Never before, in our entire 250 year history, has the military or immigration agents been used like this. It's dystopian, illegal, and it should stop.

Notice how they’re now calling everyone else an “insurrectionist.” Pure projection.
A screenshot of an X.com post by House Homeland Security Committee (@HouseHomelandSecCo) stating, "We're drawing a blank, let us get back to you," with an image of a crowd storming a government building, featuring individuals in red caps and carrying flags. Below, a reply from @Acyn
, Acyn, posted 5 hours earlier, quotes Stephen Miller asking, "when in our history have we tolerated unlawful, riotous assemblies around government buildings," accompanied by a video thumbnail of Miller speaking on a news program, labeled "OANN 0:13" with text identifying him as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy.

When people are hired, not for their honesty or competency, but for their ability to be snarling trolls on TV for the delight of their immature and unpleasant boss, you get an AG like Pamela Jo Bondi.
