Another commenter observed that the Lakes are shared. Not just by Canada and other states, but by several tribal governments as well. The Lakes are ours to protect, not ours to sell. It’s foolish, and we’re bad neighbors for letting it happen.

You’d be fine with N*stle subsidiaries bottling Michigan water if they paid more?
I applaud the energy for taxing big business to fund social services & infrastructure, but IMO selling the water table in Evart or the Mackinac Straits ecosystem is neither a good deal nor good stewardship.
