Starbucks is about convincing people with more dollars than sense that they serve coffee worth drinking/paying for. Won’t even talk about over-sugared chocomochalattaunicornwhippedsprinklie drinks and what they say about their key demographic.

I’m doing the usual turkey lunch, then The Lodger arranges for Chinese take out for supper. Thankfully.

Honesty: they were kinda wide-eyed as if they'd never been to GT before.

And they looked young enough that they'd never been in a BiWay.

The entire paying more dollars than sense rates seemed pretty ingrained (they walked in with Starbucks coffees).

I love Giant Tiger.

They have Canadian-made pantry staples and they've got real sales (the other week, I paid $4.44 instead of $8 for 454g of Gay Lea butter).

I found *actual* petite pants (no hemming!) for Mum, there.

And the shoppers and staff are SO LOVELY and considerate.
