Only criminals attack the innocent. ICE agents abusing power should be arrested, and so should the man who gave them their orders.

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

It's not a pre-judgement to say these things. It is a judgment based upon centuries of experience. The Framers didn't want a king governing their politics, nor a pope governing their religion, similar ideas actually. Freedom of conscience. Our minds belong to us.

DOJ has sued Maine, Oregon, California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington, Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Vermont for access to its most sensitive voter data.

My firm has moved to intervene in 10 of those cases. We are working on the last 4.

Oligarchy (noun):

A government of and by a few at the top, who exercise power for their own benefit. Their power and wealth increase as they make laws that favor themselves, manipulate financial markets, and create monopolies that put more wealth into their pockets.

Constantine is when it really took off. Now in addition, we have Protestants bowing the knee with the economic interest of wealthy capitalists. It is the perfect soup for tyranny.

That 1 or 2 such "justices" might be on our Supreme Court isn't surprising, by all 6 right-wingers were catechized in the Catholic church. Great slabs of the public are left out. Never have been friends of "We the People" governments, republics. Has favored autocrats since the days of the caesars.

New in PN: @kevinmkruse.bsky.social on Trump making Nixon look like a choir boy

"He’s following the Spiro Agnew playbook of browbeating the press, but the howling from the WH over the war crimes scandal shows how it can backfire. It only reveals sore spots that need more attention from reporters."
Kevin Kruse on Trump making Nixon look like a choir boy
"Trump is engaged in a constant war with the media like we’ve never seen from a president before."

We need more good paying jobs in this country. I don't think AI is going to help. Part of being an "affordable economy" is having jobs that pay enough so expenses are affordable. This country does not do enough to raise the standard of living for workers by paying well.

Fuck YES! And to the fuckers saying it’s political, it’s not. It’s about people having the freedom to be themselves & celebrate who they are. You’re going to be in Seattle during Pride, why did you expect? 🤭🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
