Stemonitis slime mold aka Chocolate Tube Slime Mold. This one is part way through the maturation process. In a matter of hours, this will have turned brown, eventually becoming fluffy and blowing away in the wind or dispersing by way of rain drops, or other disturbances. NWT, Canada.

Our friend the Antioquia Beaked Toad lives on the western slope of the Cordillera Occidental in Colombia! Many other toads in genus Rhinella have long and pointy noses, but the Antioquia Beaked Toad has one of the longest! (photo by Khristian Venegas Valencia)
A brown toad with occasional small blue-green spots, a line of which form a slight ridge down their side! They have a very long, very pointy nose!

A few large stumps of petrified wood lay about the trail in the typical red and yellow colors for the area. A signpost pointing the direction for the sleeping rainbow trail is also visible along with a view towards the valley in the distance. Two large stumps of petrified wood that exhibit strong coloration throughout, in the typical yellow mustard and crimson red seen around this area. A view along the rounded cliff wall into the valley below and nearby hillsides. A view of the sunset on the other side of the half frozen pond, with flying geese and some standing on the ice. Clouds over a silhouetted hillside reflect in pink and yellow, reminiscent of the coloration of the area's petrified wood.
