Yeah, I know what you mean! May I suggest Cammell Laird Social Club or Achtung Bono as starting points? Not as scratchy as the earlier offerings (and with fewer refs to 70s TV stars) and not as dense as some of the more recent ones...

Have a similar black & white outline (but with the old boundaries for Cumbria and Northants, annoyingly) that I think I'll just colour in using gimp... it's only for some slides...

Hey! Geeks! Have any of you used arcgis (free, personal version) for mapping stuff? I've got a lovely map of all the UK LAs from the ONS site but want to COLOUR IN various ones and I cannot work out how to do it (had a quick google to no effect...)

In Blue Post Berwick St sat right under the speakers, 4 beers in, there's, somehow, 6 servers begind the bar, the 4 girls sat by us are on, at least, their thord bottle of wine and When The Sun Goes Down by Arctic Monkeys comes on. London is good, actually.
