Association focused on the study, development and promotion of the animation language.
Gabriele Barrocu talked about his students at CSC, but his main focus was talking about the amazing project "Children of Gaza". He and Emiliano Fasano remember to everyone of us the fact that animation is a way for unite people and that working for the peace among people is one of ASIFA rules.

No way that Aperitoon doesn't involve the CSC, the animation school of Turin.
The director Chiara Magri was happy to tell us about the school's new plans and the new students. Many of them were in the audience.

After years, the Aperitoon is back in Torino.
The animation happening created by Emiliano Fasano from ASIFA Italia reunited the animation people of Turin, showing the work of Ibrido Studio and their TV serie "Anselmo wannabe". The director Massimo Ottoni was very tired and happy.

What do you say about a slapstick double feature that’s worth talking about?

@hundredsofbeavers.bsky.social Hundreds of Beavers and The Day the Earth Blew Up. A Looney Tunes inspired movie and a hand drawn Looney Tunes movie. Double the laughs for the price of one.

Some of u haven’t seen Magnetic Rose by Kōji Morimoto and I think u should change that. Fair warning it’s a hard watch for one aspect, but it’s maybe one of the most beautiful and interesting animated films ever made. I hesitate to even show the trailer lest I spoil it for u if u haven’t seen it.

It's finally
#TheDayTheEarthBlewUp day!
Everyone that loves classical animation really well done and full of the madness of the cartoon made by Tex Avery and Bob Clampett without copying it.
Original and crazy.

We want to make the Giannalberto Bendazzi library become the most important library about animation cinema. Open for students and historians.
The same evening of the inauguration the Italian director Marino Guarnieri gave us an autographed copie of his book "Chiedilo al maestro"( Ask to the master).

The library has more than 1400 books and hundreds of theses that students from universities from all the world had done with him.
We are still working on making an inventory of his study material. 12 giant folders full of newspaper articles, press kits and much more on animated cinema

Many of the books have personal dedications from giants of animation.

The Cartún Association have worked for years for this event.
Since 2021, when a sudden death deprived us of what for us was a true friend and an example of knowledge and love for animated cinema. It took four years, but we did it.

The library contains over 1400 books on animated cinema,
from all over the world and in different languages. Books that the late Giannalberto had acquired in almost sixty years of work as an animation historian and university professor of animated film history.

One of the beautiful things about Giannalberto Bendazzi's library are the signatures that the authors have done in their books for him. A true sign of friendship and admiration.
