Who holds the copyrights for the ai products that are topping various charts now? Do the dillholes who pressed go on the computer program own them? does the AI company own them? In any case, there are real rights problems here because those trash generators was trained on copyrighted material.

remember: music is supposed to be a community you're a part of, not a thing that's on in the background that you passively consume

Maybe we don't say this out loud but does anyone else feel like their lives are falling apart due to current political, economic and social conditions?

Reading john meacham's biography of Abraham Lincoln and it turns out southern democrats were just maga people with more elaborate sideburns. The shit they said, the shit they pulled would have all fit in 100% 2015-present. I was amazed until it occured to me of course they were exactly the same ppl

I just posted yesterday that I think my favorite instrument is Michael McDonald's voice. These guys sound killer. Also be sure to read the comments for Ms. Cottem's thoughts on who should sing soul music. I think a book about this is in order.
About six people texted me this. I am perceived.

Reading john meacham's biography of Abraham Lincoln and he just said "16 year-old Abe was respected by everyone in the county because he could jump the farthest and he never lost a wrestling match". I feel like the 19th c. was different from now.

Does "wanna scrap" culture exist anyplace out there these days? .When we were about 17 we were walking to a part of town called Dead Man's Island and two boys I had never seen before just saw us and came up and said "wanna scrap?" They wanted to fight us for fun! They followed, insisting all the way

It is unbelievable to me that a human being actually *wrote* this. One of the most moving and powerful songs I have ever heard. I love that he looks like a 70s steel worker too. "Yeah this is what I look like-- want to make something of it?"

I hope this gets some traction somehow because I really want to know people's favorite songs about astronaut ennui and sadness. Mine are:

1. Space Oddity
2. Rocket Man
3. The Commander Thinks Aloud by The Long Winters

John Roderick wrote a damn song that is as good as rocket man and space oddity
