I wanna give credit too: in my experience if you're not on these video-heavy platforms and you're just doing text based discourse you're just not gonna see a lot of this stuff. So I get why it sounds hysterical to many, esp AI critics (whom I consider myself among)

It isn't just about "clanker" tbc it's about people saying things like "what up my clanka", "back of the bus rosa sparks", "wireback" etc, and the usage spreading outward from jokes about LLMs and AIs to real world people with prosthetic limbs or other conditions.

The entire focus of this discourse here that you're engaging in on this thread is about how people are taking the cute little meme words for making fun of LLMs (valid, sure, whatever) and then using them on real human beings, in the same shapes and forms they use existing slurs
