My reasons don’t just have to do with the subjective point of view. I also think that substrate is likely crucial. Massimo Pigliucci (a philosopher and former biologist) and I address that aspect of it in this dialogue we did on the “Strong AI thesis”

I’m always struck by how good the art is on these.

I think the definition has an implicit element that you have left out:

“Introspection gives a person privileged access to their current state of mind (e.g., thoughts and feelings) that is not accessible to external observers”

*From a subjective point of view.* It’s not just privileged access.

Connor Kianpour defends (many) immoral jokes in this advance article. Will he have cancelled himself by the time you reach the conclusion? Only one way to find out... doi.org/10.1093/aest... #philsky
Humour’s combination of non-literality, imaginative distance, and play allows it to disarm, provoke, and invite reflection, even from resistant audiences. That distinctiveness supports a more permissive ethical stance: immoral jokes often expose social and moral incongruities, making them valuable tools for moral-epistemic growth.

Philosophers have lost their minds over the concepts, ‘objective’ and ‘real.’

I'm quite allergic the the "zombie" thought experiments, so I don't really think anything hangs on them. What consciousness consists of is an empirical question, and everything our scientific investigations of it have told us is that it is a property of nervous systems.

Even weirder, when I tried to google "Robert Long Consciousness" Malwarebytes gave me malicious website warnings.

I'm really starting to hate how every freaking game has to have MMO style "boss fights" with ridiculous mechanics and phases and one-shots and all the rest. Godawful game design. Can turn a fun game into an un-fun one almost instantly.

"The Wrap of Khan" would be a good name for a Star Trek-themed shawarma cart
