BikeTown might be the most expensive bikeshare system of any city I've ever used. Not sure why.

For a 30min ride, PDX is $11.50 or $4.50 for an annual passholder.

CitiBike NYC is equally expensive for e-bikes but 30min on a "classic bike" is $4.99 for 30min and FREE for day or yearly passholders.

The fietsdoorweg system that connects cities in NL has wide bike lanes, fully separated from car traffic, well-signed and well-maintained.

I'm curious about the design and maintenance standards of bike lanes in Belgium.

It's fantastic Belgium has 2700km of Fietssnelwegen!

I hope the entire world wakes up to how smart it is to invest in narrow ribbons of asphalt connecting cities to bikes & cargo bikes + walking rather than continuing to pour most of our limited resources into making more roads for cars.
