I'm just gonna say it -- Um actually, fans demanding that games adhere to strict timelines, worldbuilding etc... you're doing a disservice to your favorite games by forcing the devs to worry about perfect continuity over making the most compelling, entertaining experience they can.

If I was a foreign intelligence service interested in swaying the US election and I found out the polling guru everyone listens to seems to have a serious gambling problem — I would do everything in my power to leverage his addiction to influence his polling.
