Lots of specifics that matter in the design of these policies but good to see some debate and momentum in New Mexico, New York City, and elsewhere.

I wanna signal boost this - I am looking to recruit a prospective PhD student to join my Stress and Health Equity lab at the University of Delaware in HDFS. My research concerns biopsychosocial mechanisms of health across the life course with an emphasis on stress and coping.

Help.
#Hispanic_Serving_Instiutions effect positive change for far too many Americans and, often, first generation college students to condone this decision.

And affordable, quality #childcare …always childcare.

When 2 careers are often needed to make ends meet, and pregnancy carries its own risks, it isn't irrational for women to limit the number of children they have.

Maybe focus on family friendly policies--paid leave, incentives for better maternal health outcomes.... Just spitballing here.

This is so great. Amazing how this one set of interventions lifts up thousands—kids get education, parents leave poverty, childcare workers get living wage, employers keep more workers. Also, homemade enchiladas for lunch (!)

New Mexico made child care free for most families. Believe it or not, the good thing is good.
