Over 1/2 the revenue the country makes from someone moving house for a better job, comes from VAT on say new furniture & from an increase in income tax. It’s a years old idea to abolish Stamp Duty. I seriously question why the Tories didn’t adopt this when their own MP Anthony Browne proposed it!
