Sharing once again - and highly recommending - the postdoc positions with Antoni. One of the projects is a collaboration with us and the postdoc will include a sojourn in our lab.

Dear colleagues, positions at CNRS (and INRIA) will (in all probability) be announced this winter. By then it will however be too late to properly prepare an application. Recent PhDs, postdocs etc interested in such positions should get right now in contact with teams who would like to recruit them.

SUMOylation studies just got a serious upgrade! Fresh out of the lab- our team including our brilliant chemist PostDoc just published a clean, streamlined way to purify SUMO E2 and SUMO RANGAP. Whether one is into structural biology or biochemical wizardry, this toolkit is your new best friend.

Rosalind Franklin was born #OTD in 1920. She was a chemist and crystallographic who made a key contribution to the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA: www.compoundchem.com/2017/07/25/f...

Today in Chemistry History graphic on Rosalind Franklin and the structure of DNA. Rosalind Franklin was a chemist and X-ray crystallographer whose work was instrumental in the discovery of the structure of DNA. She missed out on a Nobel Prize for her work as they are not awarded posthumously. Photograph 51 is an X-ray diffraction image of DNA taken during Franklin’s research. It was crucial in developing a model of DNA and confirming its double helical structure.

Can robots in a swarm act like the cells of an organism? Thanks to Sedeer El-Showk for the new article in @nature.com, which highlights the work of a number of research groups, including our own, on how “Robots demonstrate principles of collective intelligence”. www.nature.com/articles/d41...
