PACK THE COURTS! Tomorrow, we will be in court with members of the Gullah Geechee community on St. Helena Island in South Carolina urging a county court judge to restore, for a temporary period, their access to their local community’s centuries-old cemetery.

Today, a federal judge permanently enjoined a portion of a Georgia law banning gender dysphoria treatment in prison, finding that its blanket ban on hormone therapy violated the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment.

After 243 days in ICE detention, activist and whistleblower Alma Bowman is home. Alma was finally released from the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia, two days before Thanksgiving, and reunited with her family after spending eight months detained by ICE.
