I have 4 adult kids, and 4 grandkids. I’m blissfully single and will remain so. My escapes are history, language learning/linguistic studies, puzzles, knitting, gardening, crossword puzzles, and Korean dramas. Also love cats, moon/sunsets, and nature. Here for the sanity & low blood pressure. 🦋

So to summarize, according to #maga, any Black, gay or trans person who achieves any position, no matter how degreed or credentialed they are is an unqualified #dei hire. And any white person, however unqualified or even sketchy is inherently qualified when they get a job. Do I have that right?

So true. The amount of position-justification nonsense and busy-work to appear productive are insane. They are refusing the in your face lessons of Covid and trying to drag everyone back to the slave field.
Why, in 2024, despite all our technological capacities, are we not working 3–4 hours a day?

One thing I am using, and would like to encourage the use of, is the "Hide reply for everyone" option.
When I see MAGA trolls, I'm just hiding the reply from everyone and sending them to the block party. Fire needs oxygen to burn. Don't give it to them.

I was born in Korea when we had exactly one source of vaccines -- the Red Cross -- and then only if your mother would line up with you in Seoul for the better part of a day. My grandfather and one of my aunts died of typhus, and a cousin had polio and has never walked as an adult.
