Not sure if arithmetician is worth it in FFT. I’ve always heard it’s busted, so I finally got it, but WOW it’s slow. I laughed when I saw mine with the turn indicator at 20. I can send her on errands I guess but what a pain. She’s working fine as a white/black mage hybrid already…

It’s neat how Banjo-Tooie has widescreen support. Feels novel on N64.

In Super Paper Mario, Mr. L is actually much smaller than Mario and Luigi, and gets scaled up at runtime. The game was originally developed for the GameCube before moving to Wii; Mario and Luigi received new Wii graphics while Mr. L was stuck with small GameCube textures.

I realized I was messing up my build with a character in FFT, so totally changed her to a mage, with nothing to show for her time as an archer besides that dodge arrows reaction ability. It had been mostly pointless. You wouldn’t believe my face when it actually worked in the chapter 1 climax.

Nooo I’m seeing people bashing the original English Chie voice again. 😭 I’m biased because I played that first but it was perfect for her… it’s still the voice I think of for her.

The first few battles in FFT without abilities are so miserable and make me question why I liked that game, then as soon as you actually have JP, it’s so addicting to plan things out.

The Final Fantasy Tactics remaster/remake sure has everyone talking a lot. I assumed they’d just have voiced cutscenes, but characters have something to say every two seconds. I kind of miss the “charming” PS1 death cries.

Very non-real-issue but I’m leaving for a trip in a matter of hours and I still can’t decide between my 3DS and Switch. I realistically won’t be playing either aside from the plane rides, so it doesn’t really matter. And yet!
