General thoughts on the #MTGxATLA set are mostly positive!
That said, IMO Universes Beyond sets are getting too formulaic.
Every UB set nowadays seems to have 4+ versions of each character, commander staple reprints with lazy screenshots of the source material, a token WUBRG commander, etc.

Figured I'd try that Gaming Motivation survey and wasn't too surprised with the results.
I like to get lost in the games I play. The world, the story, crafting my own character....those are the most important things to me. I'm flexible on the genre of game so long as these things are present.

Admittedly, I do have one concern: some of the removals from the GC list seem to imply that Vivi *won't* be added in the future, which would be a big mistake.

Deflecting Swat is also a great card, but does it "change the game"? Not really.
It has niche situations where it's better than a counterspell (i.e. redirecting single target removals onto their caster), and plenty of other situations where it's worse (i.e. it's useless vs board wipes). #MtG

For example, Expropriate is a sorcery speed card for 9 mana that can potentially give you multiple extra turns. That's pretty strong, and can certainly win you the game, but does being strong make it a "Game Changer"? I would say no. #MtG

I'm not surprised, but I really wish the unannounced #MtG Universes Beyond set had been Power Rangers instead of TMNT, and I'm saying this as a fan of both franchises.
I have put a lot of thought into it.
IMO, a Power Rangers set would offer greater card diversity and more interesting mechanics.
