Respectfully, I'm not the one trying to justify WotC's flawed development pipeline.
I'm fully aware that corporations suck.
That doesn't change the reality that these sorts of strategies, while lucrative in the short term, do not typically pan out well in the long term.

Then they need to make changes to how their team is set up, because their choices right now are:
1) Continue to have Vivi-style problems with their sets, which has proven massively detrimental to every format that isn't Commander, or
2) Change the way you work

And my point is that you can't do that.
They're making 6-7 sets per year, all of which are now going directly into a now-3-year-long Standard rotation. That's 18+ sets.
You cannot be developing cards only within the confines of their own set any more. You need to be thinking further ahead.

We already have a far better descriptive system for identifying the general "scale" of a studio (A vs AA vs AAA), so why debate over what is "indie" anyways?
I really think it makes no sense to put special valuation on a studio's "independent" status. What matters is the quality of the product.

It's not "retribution".
It's understanding that Democrats who reject the primary process and the will of the voters to push an alternative independent candidate, even at the risk of letting a fascist win that office, are not your allies *against* the fascists.
