Got 84 assets we need the art team to whip up textures for before we ship; to make things simple I covered the assets in mimics that *look* exactly like textures but will hurt our company if they aren't found and replaced

One big takeaway here IMO is the breadth of platforms researchers looked at. These interactions aren't taking place on a small handful of consolidated platforms -- AI companion apps are a dime a dozen on app stores, and exist in a deeply unregulated market environment.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".
