Forscherin Bea Maas bei der Feldforschung zu sehen, satte grüne Hügel Bootsfahrt durch auf einem Seitenarm des Sungai Bengkoka, ein Fluss im malaysischen Bundesstaat Sabah auf Borneo. Vorne sitz ein Bootsfahrer, der von hinten zu sehen ist. Eindrücke der Altstadt in Riga, eine belebte Straße und bunte Häuser. Das CTD-Messgerät des Forschungsschiff „Pelegia“ wird an der Seite des Forschungsschiffes abgelassen.

It describes a previously unknown microbial energy metabolism: Microbial iron oxide respiration coupled to sulfide oxidation (MISO).
