If platforms like Bluesky rely on people, not algorithms, to amplify content, does it bring us closer to true democracy 2.0 (ie,online)?

Or does human bias just replace algorithmic bias, mirroring the physical 🌎?

There are pro & cons in both cases, and honestly I don't know yet which one is worst

Analyzing follower distribution of ~5M users (~20% of BlueSky)

Expected: older accounts have ++followers.

Surprising finding? Even after just 3-4 months, some users surpass 100k followers (1000x less likely than oldest accounts, but it happens!)
