Sure, but that’s at grade on an existing train corridor with enlarged noise barrier walls, not massive elevated structures some see as eye sores.

I mean the elevated part goes through a lower income, racialized neighborhood so… they have less political power to fight back.

Meanwhile in even underground portions in more affluent Royal Orchard, they changed the alignment to appease them.

Sure, I understand that new lines are bound to have some issues, that's normal, but Finch has been a disaster even before opening, and the issues are baked into the design and planned operations.

There needs to be a major rethink of how we design and operate new LRT in Toronto.
