FYI, if you start a reply to me with "You Jews" and it does not end with "have done a real service to this country through your outsized contribution to the ice cream industry," I will probably block you.

I mean, honestly.

The idea that it's somehow the "job" of Democrats to save the day in the House is nonsensical.

If your party alone doesn't have the power to do something, you're going to have to engage with the other party.

That's...rather fundamental to democracy.

My favorite part about Steve Scalise’s speech at a white supremacist convention hosted by David Duke is that afterwards he claimed to have no idea that something called the “European-American Unity and Rights Organization” wouldn’t involve a lot of racists www.washingtonpost.com/politics/hou...

This is one of the most powerful posts in the nation, second in line for the presidency, and his past needs to be considered closely.

I’m very glad he survived, but that’s no reason to give him a free pass on his record. This isn’t the Make a Wish Foundation.
be *fully* prepared for every single possible criticism of Steve Scalise to be met by conservatives and centrists alike with feigned-shocked accusations of complicity with the perpetrator of the 2017 mass shooting that he survived

/4 It is a good day to remember that when you are open about your struggles, you help other people feel not-alone and help other people be open. Being open about your journey - how you needed help, and got it — can change someone else’s life. It’s worth it.

Texas took over Houston ISD after just one of its schools continuously failed to meet academic standards.

The idea that someone as ridiculous as Jim Jordan could be in contention to lead the House should make every American pause and wonder how the United States has come to such a moment.

Exclusive: More than 1,100 guns were seized on k-12 campuses last school year, a team of Post reporters found.

Some were brought by accident, others to show off. In many cases, police alleged, they were brought to end lives.
Guns are seized in U.S. schools each day. The numbers are soaring.
The number of guns found in schools -- hidden in backpacks, waistbands and lockers -- has spiked in recent years, impacting hundreds of thousands of students.
