I ended up looking for my childhood PC (dad's 286 for trivial remote VAX sysadmin work) printer, the Epson FX-286. Think of it as a fancypants, 132-column MX-80.
Epson is one of the few mfrs to have their old product manuals online. They're even OCR'd, which sometimes is sometimes ... unhelpful.

I ask gemini about google sheets stuff and in this case I was uploading a file called "worldbuilding shit.csv" to AnAlYzE and it simply could not read it. I suggested that it had a space and profanity and it figured it out, but the first-post summary became the title. The tech of the future!
