I have been exploring the Technological Utopia ideology -- the thought that private enterprise with its technological solutions, can do better than any government has achieved. Technology will solve economic disparity, social imbalances, better health, and increase lifespan. Hmmm.....

If Google AI was a person, it would be a neo-liberal agnostic who likes to read the New York Times or the like, influenced by populist thought, and doesn't quite get the nuances and minute details.

I set up a new Wordpress site this past weekend and it automatically generated two articles by AI. They were well written and drawing from popular thought found on ranking websites. It was writing for what people want to hear and reinforcing majority opinion.

I think the Canadian Government's overlooking Gig work jobs which bypass labour laws and paying income tax by pretending their employees to be independent contractors is going to leave the middle and working class much poorer.

"The Unconscious Civilization" by John Ralston Saul is one of my favourite books. Although it was written in the 1990s, he clearly understood where Canadian society was heading and the pitfalls confronting it. A must read for anyone who wants to understand Canadian politics and society.

I felt it was time to move away my small website focusing on Canada Post issues from Wordpress.com and rebuild my website on a paid plan with a Canadian company called Crocweb. Things went well and happy with the results.

I was going over the Book of Hebrews a little this week for fun. This book is a really hard read. One of the most difficult books in the New Testament to comprehend.

I have an old free site up and running on Wordpress.com and needed to update the theme because my old one wasn't working properly. Anything I would like to do will cost X amount of dollars. The good old days of Wordpress.com being free are gone.

Myself and 55,000 employees of Canada Post are on strike again. Sucks. A result of failed Government policies, poor business plans where all blame gets diverted to employee labour costs, and a Union stubbornly grieving the erosion of rights and respect for the working class in Canadian society.

I was trying to look at Codex Sinaiticus through my work wifi and they blocked access because it was "religion." My employer has every right to decide what can go through their gateway but I hope 'religion' is not being excluded by the majority of institutions.

Such an interesting article on understanding the history and evolution of Codex Vaticanus. The people behind this investigation put in an incredible amount of work. brill.com/view/journal...

I passed my Intermediate French exam and now working with Quebecois, Franco-Manitoban, and French-African speakers. Yikes. The French Africans have a more formal European French that I can understand but the Quebecois and Franco-Manitobans.... I have a lot more learning to do.

I past my intermediate level French oral exam on Thursday. That was a lot of work. No more studies. My employer wants me to work immediately at the new position the studies were designed for. Yikes.
