I got in late last night. First thing this morning, I saw cars following an ice vehicle down the street, honking at it.

Later, we didn't drive more than three blocks before we found people defending a childcare facility. (The idea that people have to defend a childcare facility... let that sink in)

An extra third thing that bothers me is that Metrolinx is an amorphous entity that people blame for everything and it acts as a beating dummy that shields the MTO, Ministry of Transportation of Ontario from blame, which is more associated with the political government at the time.

We often talk about how P3s are good because it offloads risk onto the private sector (we've now learned this doesn't happen, the public just gets sued or blamed every time there is a delay/issue).

But we don't talk about how it offloads blame onto the public agency/gov. (2/2)
