This committee has been a block to progress on #activetravel & sustainable transport for too long, making decisions contrary to policy. It must go.

Edinburgh Greens brought a motion to committee calling for action to address the issue of flags on lampposts which is causing fear and alarm amongst many Edinburgh folk.
Disappointingly, the council leader ruled this could not be discussed today. We’ll continue to press for the flags to be removed.

Walkabout with community council members & council officer to discuss improvements to #Leith #LTN in particular the Tolbooth Wynd disappearing bollard.
Very frustrating the council hasn't used the (very welcome) Linksview House refurbishment to tackle transport issues here - I'm pursuing this.

I tried out the new Edinburgh cycle hire scheme today. Useful assistance going up Scotland Street & Dublin Street but the motor seemed a little inconsistent.
Booking, unlocking & locking process on the app seemed pretty seamless though. 👍
