If you're only following this "debate" through popular media you probably have the impression that studies on youth gender medicine are roughly split between benefits and harms.
Nope! Nearly every study finds benefits. The "debate" is just a bunch of people going, "Those don't count."

this is not a "failure", or even an unintended consequence of bathroom policing, btw. anything that makes a trans life harder to live is a success for the people who make these laws
1. A transgender man was detained in South Carolina for using the restroom that Republicans want him to use.
Officers allegedly hurled slurs at him for doing so.

With our federal administration attacking diverse education, it’s even more important that City Council stands up to protect education. We must keep schools safe spaces for immigrant & LGBTQ+ students through culturally conscious curriculum & upholding our sanctuary city status.

They want to ban the teaching of the unpleasant facts of American history because people might conclude injustices in the past that contribute to inequalities in the present should be rectified, instead of their belief, which is that some groups of people are inherently superior to others
