Today I learned that actor Tom Conway was actor George Sanders’ brother, and now the universe makes a little more sense.

If the Democrats can't find something to do with LITERALLY THE MOST PERFECT VISUAL METAPHOR FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING...
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU

Funniest thing I saw today:

A Cybertruck was driving on a downtown Minneapolis street today. It soon found itself blocked by the No Kings protest, which was flowing down a cross-street.

You’ve never seen a car pull a u-turn so fast.

All US health insurance companies should be burned to the fucking ground. And then anyone who voted against healthcare reform should be forced to snort the ashes until they apologize.

In the last three days, I’ve watched three different movies named Dead of Night.

One has a trucker-eating blood junkie.

One has a haunted golf ball.

One has Ed Bagley Jr.

Fascinating article about Minneapolis’ Muslim diasporas, religious beliefs, and dogs:

sahanjournal.com/immigration/...
More Minnesota Somali Muslims embrace dog ownership
Somali Muslim traditions consider dogs unclean. But some Minnesota immigrants — especially those with children pleading for pets — are reconsidering that.

I heard tonight that Christopher Mills has passed away. I did not know him well, but I did work with him on a couple projects (most notably, Femme Noir #1). He was always a gem to work with. May his memory be a blessing, and may his comics live on and on.
I only wrote about 100 comics in my so-called career, but now that I'm dying, I'm grateful that I got to do even that. Comics are such a wonderful medium, and they've always meant so much to me.

For some reason, I decided that I'd learn about the stock market on Wednesday. I put a negligible amount of money ($5) into a few stocks, then watched what happened.

What I learned:
* Line go up because capitalism
* Line go down because Trump say "tariff"
* Many hour lost b/c stare at line

I once wrote a 25 page paper on the physiology of electric stingrays (completely sourced from actual scientific papers, 5 pages of references) overnight, no coffee. Printed the paper, drove to class, handed it in, and then gave a 1 hour lecture on the same subject.

AI can go fuck a rusty tin can.
I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

Life with Fes, episode 6,024

Inspired by the alphabet soup of acronyms found on dating websites, my husband decided to attempt making one for me. He wound up using the whole alphabet.

I find it hilarious in many ways. (Also flattering, but hilarious is even better.)
