Many, many warm thanks to Court Harler at Flash the Court for publishing my prose poem "What It Takes, What It Gives." It's had a long journey to here, and I'm so grateful to see it published.

The work that inspired the piece is Lee Krasner's Palingenesis.

So cool that whenever someone asks the president, “did you eat the Lindbergh baby” he’s like, “no but I’d be allowed to, I have the right to, I might do it later”

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I'm sure it's changed so much! There is now a fancy coffee shop on the corner, called The Tradesman.

Dina, I could read your voice all day long. This is everything. Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking piece so full of love.

No, I appreciate it! He tends to want the same meals for a while, too! There’s so much going on in his brain, he wants to keep it simple.

Oh, I know how that feels. But if you wrote "The End," it's an official draft!!

Just ordered it! Looking forward to digging in!

My teenage son said there's nothing to eat, so when I ask him what he wants, he says, naturally:

"I don't know what I want, but I do know we don't have it."

Oh, this one is fun. My October installment of From the Bookshelf is up. This month's writing prompt is inspired by Russell Edson. Enjoy!

The curator who brought it up to me was apparently scolded by a British editor, who insisted the "-re" is the British form. It makes sense! But I do live in a town that has a village with the word "Centre" in it. Nothing is cut and dry, it seems!

This came up for us recently! (I work at a museum.)
