<div class="field field-field-text"><p>Israel is <a href="https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/israel-approves-proposal-to-bring-all-remaining-5800-jews-from-indias-northeast/article70321468.ece#:~:text=Israel's%20government%20has%20approved%20a,over%20the%20next%20five%20years.">reportedly </a>set to bring more than 5,800 Jewish community members from India to Israel for settlement in the Galilee region of the northern part of the occupied Palestinian territories. </p>
<p>The Jewish Agency for Israel, an organisation that promotes Zionism globally has said that the Israeli cabinet has approved the proposal.</p>
<p>The Bnei Menashe Jewish community is an ethnic community from the northeastern Indian states of Mizoram and Manipur. </p>
<p>The report said that the plan was submitted by Immigration and Integration Minister Ofir Sofer.</p>
<p>A large delegation of rabbis is expected to depart for India in the coming days and the plan is expected to require a special budget to cover conversion classes, housing, and Hebrew instruction. </p>

<div class="field field-field-text"><p>Amjad al-Shawwa, a prominent civil society leader in Gaza and the man reportedly tipped by several Palestinian factions to lead Gaza's technocratic transition committee, told Alaraby TV on Tuesday that Israel is withholding desperately-needed winter aid from Gaza.</p>
<p>Shawwa said Israel has so far allowed a supply of 30,000 tents to enter Gaza, when current weather conditions demand 10 times that amount, at 30,000. </p>
<p>Heavy rainfull and winds have flooded and collapsed the tents of the displaced in Gaza for more than a week, exacerbating already catastrophic conditions in the enclave. </p>
