Growing up, I thought it was so incredible that our country funded television and radio programs not to make money but to be a service to the public. Such a rich heritage of programs not aired anywhere else.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced today that it will begin phasing out its operations, following Congress’s recent decision to revoke previously allocated federal funding. CPB said it is initiating an “orderly wind-down” after nearly six decades.
