Running 10 coach trains might help. There’s no room for more trains. Either managers have got to accept people WFH more often than not. Or we create better paid jobs not in London

And if you do encourage WFH you don’t reduce footfall for town / city centre small business and hospitality if redundant office space is converted to residential space!

That’s really well put actually, you’ve hit the nail on the head. I think a similar logic applies to Labour voters at the last election. They were united in wanting to get the Tories out not what Labour were offering.

I also feel some of the beer price comparisons are a little disingenuous

What is better value? A 3.2% pint of Carling for £3.50 in a small town or a highly hopped 2/3 pint of 7.3% IPA for £7 in a major city?

Obviously people’s palette plays a massive part here too!
