Hi, new BlueSky people!

I'm Chris, a freelance comic/cover artist and illustrator based in The Netherlands. I've worked on Wynonna Earp and IDW/Hasbro's 2019 GI Joe reboot, and many more (IDW, Image, Mad Cave, Magma Comix, Ankama, others).

Currently working on two upcoming, exciting new things!
Full color cover art featuring Wynonna Earp, Doc Holliday, Valdez, Waverly Earp, Nicole R. Haught and a glimpse of Bobo, posed and arranged in a movie poster way. Wynonna Earp Legends, Doc Holliday cover art, featuring Tim Rozon as Doc leaning against Shorty's bar, tipping his hat to us. Large portrait of Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp brandishing Peacemaker in the background. Wynonna Earp Legends, Doc Holliday cover art, featuring Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp, seated on her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Large portrait of Tim Rozon as Doc Holliday brandishing is Colt revolver in the background. Wynonna Earp, Bad Day at Black Rock cover art, featuring a close shot on Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp, aiming a blue, glowing Peacemaker towards us.

Basically a remake of the original Commodore 64 Ghostbusters where you start out like this, and gradually work your way up towards the Spook Central climax:

The ultimate Ghostbusters video game wouldn't be about recreating your favorite moments with a boring Bill Murray on a nostalgia trip, but an 'X-COM: UFO Defense' style strategy/business sim & Reagan-era satire where you start your small business with a second mortgage on your parents' house.

A different kind of commission: inking Dutch independent filmmaker van 't Hoff. Joshua van 't Hoff. With his weapon of choice.

Hemi enters the scene the Hemi way.

RED VECTOR #2, by @dbandry.bsky.social, @timdanielcomics.bsky.social, @sjanweijers.bsky.social, @bertacious.bsky.social, @jamesbemmett.bsky.social & me.

Out now! Go! Go pick it up (if you like)!
Three panels from issue two of the Red Vector comic book series. Hemi's SUV storming through the Sonoran desert. His buddy Tate in the passenger seat looks terrified. Then Hemi looks over his shoulder, big, dark grin on his punchable face.

feels like yet again time to mention that the *videogames* industry (that's a creative industry, which people do creative degrees in) brings in more than twice the amount to the British economy as the fishing and steel industries *combined*

I cannot understand what these people think the purpose of human life is?

It is *not* "pursue joy, deal justly, love well, try to understand as much and see as much of this beautiful world and of the deepness, richness and variety of human culture and experience as you can before you die"?

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

It’s past a joke at this point: EVERY trial into UBI has shown that it’s a net benefit to society, every one has been a success. But, the response is usually “one more trial, bro, just one more trial”.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:
www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employmen...
Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

Those two were the only ones I could think of :) I'm pretty sure I was actually being genuine, too!

Dreamed Kevin Costner told me he was feeling down because his Robin Hood movie wasn't as popular as he hoped, so I told him he shouldn't feel bad because he was also in timeless, lauded classics such as Waterworld and The Postman.
I woke up before finding out whether that cheered him up.

Anyone who still believes that this campaign of ethnic cleansing is based on fears for Israel's safety or a genuine compassion for the hostages should take another read of the text in this post.

Azeen Ghorayshi at the NYT has moved on from going after trans people and is now pushing the leasing question that autism diagnoses are too common because of its expansion of it to a spectrum.

Started the day like "OK, I'm going to ink ALL these commissions today!" 💪 after a year and a half of not having worked on paper...

... And then immediately had to give up and place an order for the stronger set of reading glasses I apparently now need 😓

Look I try not to doomsay or spread panic but this shit is truly and deeply Very Bad for every single trans person in America and unless everyone makes it their mission in life over the next few days to make sure that their reps know that shutting down the government is the correct option here.
