Yeah probably not

Given who founded it and who now runs it, it’s probably not entirely unsurprising if they did just “forget” to include the greens

It might also have been that not enough people said they were green voters to include them, but when it comes to yougov I’m always lowkey suspicious

It’s a yougov poll, it’s quite likely they didn’t include that data, that would be unusual for them.

I’ve proudly never had a TV licence if that helps balance it out?

Given recent years of BBC news output I probably never will either.

I'm in my early 30s; when I was a kid all the grown ups seemed to sneer and assume absolutely all information from the internet couldn't be trusted.

Now a lot of those same people just seem to believe everything.

It's honestly infuriating.

If I had one Christmas wish it would be that cis people see trans people as their brothers and sisters, children and parents. They could be any of us, they are all of us.

I’m an unremarkable person. A history of successes and failures behind me. I’m flawed. But I love all my children. All of them.

the BBC now espouse exactly the same rhetoric as the Mail towards some groups, why should we not attack the BBC when you’d presumably have no issue with us attacking the Mail?

The BBC isn’t sacrosanct anymore, due to their own actions. I wish they were but that’s the reality they chose
December 22, 2025 at 9:41 PM
Unfortunately if you’re in one of the groups being targeted by the BBC there comes a point where the institution is beyond salvage, and for the News Service we are at or close to that point.

Nobody would say we shouldn’t attack the Daily Mail, but domestically
December 22, 2025 at 9:41 PM
I’m a long standing supporter of the BBC News Service, especially The World Service but it’s impossible to not see the bias that’s intentionally being inserted into their domestic reporting of certain topics as Joylon rightly calls out

Just because it doesn’t affect you doesn’t mean it isn’t real
December 22, 2025 at 9:35 PM
allowed themselves to be debased (as much) that’s why Africa and Asia reports tend to still stick to traditional news values, domestic news however is a changed beast, it’s really not hard to see their biased behaviour no matter what political stripes you adorn yourself with
December 22, 2025 at 9:35 PM
It’s not the TV news arm that I’m talking about, rather the news service as a whole. They have allowed themselves to be controlled by successive governments and now use the pretence of “impartiality” to allow themselves to be used for propaganda

Again, The World Service is different and hasn’t
December 22, 2025 at 9:35 PM
The entirety of BBC News is, it might not affect you directly so you won’t notice, but it’s abhorrent

The World Service is a very different beast to the domestic news service.

The UK medical establishment and NHS especially suffer from exceptionalism and secrecy and xenophobia. The profession has a power trip problem and the NHS has misogyny, racism, and transphobia problems. Gotv ministers exceed their powers and meddle. Levy is one big distraction from this.

It's hard to determine whether the blame lies more with trans advocacy abandoning any and all radicalism while trying to find a palatable message for a cissexist society married to sex-essentialism, or with cis people's inherent discomfort with sex being mutable.

All I know is this fucking sucks.
