Sketches for additions to my “Front” series of paintings. I thought I was done with this series, but seeing them all together in the “Head Count” show at Sean Christopher Gallery in Columbus, OH has inspired me to make more! We’re having a mid-exhibition reception on October 4th from 4 to 8 pm. 👍😊

I hope Booker makes it 24 hours and 19 minutes and beats the filibuster record held by Strom Thurmond, who filibustered for 24 hrs and 18 mins to block civil rights legislation in 1957.

“Peak”, acrylic on three panels, overall dimensions 54 x 60”. There’s a “happy accident” in this photo: some of the actual shadows on the wall line up nearly perfectly with some of the depicted shadows inside the painting. (Look around the lower left and the upper right of the “cloud” panel.)
