Just lost my last surviving uncle to cancer.
We were close when I was younger, but had lost that connection over the intervening years. Still, I'll miss him a lot and will celebrate the memories we had together.
Rest well, Roger. You were one of a kind.

For now, for me, it's a "put on your own mask first" situation.
I'll get back into the thick of the fight after I've had some time to grieve and mourn. I know there are plenty of others carrying on while I rest, just as I will pick up the burden so they can rest when they need to.
