It bugs me that you can't replace cells too! I took apart a dead battery at work last Friday and sourced some new cells. Who knows if I can actually get it to fly, but we're gonna try. 👍

This is kind of interesting, to me anyway. This battery my buddy brought in works with both 18V tools/ chargers *and* 60V tools/chargers. Somewhere along the line, that epoxy covered board is putting these 15 batteries in a big series conga line (3.7V*15=55.5V, but I guess that's Dewalt for 60)...

It's a trip to go to school to learn how to fix stuff and in less time than it takes to have a career, the industry decides collectively that things should no longer be repairable.

I started playing @kenlowery.bsky.social's Wayfarer I this evening with an old friend. Spent a ton of time the past couple of days reading up on the Voyager missions and being inspired by what an incredible feat of engineering and planning they were/ are. I'm the satellite. Here's my first "entry."

Finally wrapped up the work project. Customer's stoked, positive vibes all around. Tricky job; basically gave an old museum display a brain transplant from board-level stuff to a plc/ smart relay. Lotta boring details, but here's the documentation I did so I don't forget how it works.

First, that dude was 14 when American Beauty debuted-the idea he was clocking that film as opposed to The Phantom Menace, The Matrix, Blair Witch, et fuckin al is laughable. Secondly, and more importantly, OF COURSE PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD, FFS.

I put Destiny 2 on my laptop yesterday and played for a couple of hours. I'd forgotten the weirdly specific anxiety I'd get playing D1- Am I doing the thing? Yeah, think so. I'm shooting these guys, are they the right- wait, *am* I doing the thing? Lemme check the map... It is fun tho.

I absolutely felt this when I bought one of those little entry grade gundam I saw y'all building on here! Colored plastic parts, variant weapons, on four sprues of pieces for $14? Whaaaaaat?

Carved some pumpkins with the fam eariler. Wife went traditional, youngest was inspired by the "PUMPKIN.... PUMPKIN... " reels or whatever, oldest messed around with proportion and placement, I did cute.
