In, USA I like to make stuff. And take pictures! I don't really DM. I really don't crypto.

-Both of my kids' schools forbid the use of Ai.
-Successfully made it back to the party after escaping the cell my wood elf sorcerer got locked up in while playing coop Baldur's Gate 3.
-Pacers beat the Warriors
-Jays in the Series gave me and my dad a reason to reminisce on old times.
American life is truly dogshit right now. Here are some things I have recently enjoyed:
— Watching Luka Doncic do pretty much anything
— The new Airpods Pro
— New season of English Teacher
— Counting how many times people say "Good morning" in the new Kathryn Bigelow movie with Kat. (I'd guess 30+?)
By the Time I Get to Arizona 2025 remix!
This is such a unique and stylish take on Halloween and Mardi Gras costumes! Very cool!

Straight up, big reason I like this one is the practical lack of corporate pr accounts and lame celebrities. 👍

I got home from dropping oldest off at a party, saw the score was surprised to see it was still only 2nd quarter!
Carved some pumpkins with the fam eariler. Wife went traditional, youngest was inspired by the "PUMPKIN.... PUMPKIN... " reels or whatever, oldest messed around with proportion and placement, I did cute.
I still have both of my folks, but years ago I was the last person to speak to my grandma before she unexpectedly had a stroke and passed away. Just a throw away conversation watching Wheel of Fortune with her at my folks'; I'll aways be glad I had those minutes to spare. Hope your day gets better.
Absolutely, this was golden age of east coast- 3rd Bass, PE, Tribe, et al.
Thermals and like, Girl Talk off the top but that's about it? To be fair though I'm working a lot during this time and my wife had our first kid so I probably missed some stuff.
Hegseth drunk dialing the Pope about opus dei opsec concerns.
It's incredible watching someone get strong, popular support for a slate of issues we've been told were absolute non-starters for years. It's almost as if candidates would prioritize their constituents' needs over what the lobbyists are demanding, they'd win more elections. 🤔
I started using swiftkey for my keyboard app years ago, then Microsoft bought it and it was OK for a while, but now it predicts words I literally have never typed, desperately hates when I want a hyphen right after a word with no space, but turning off the feature renders the app useless. 👎
Wild after ice rounded up all those SK automotive guys less than 2 months ago? I guess Hyundai knows where they rank in their food chain now.
Honestly? No. It took me a year to get to an place where I even could honestly admit I'd overreacted.
Absolutely. After dad mode, I tried running my team with honesty and understanding. Actually had a boss that supported me and for a couple years, it worked! I had a 5 man team that didn't fight on email or sabotage each other. Then my Co lost the contract and we all left. Shitty ending. 👎
I struggle with depression a ton and most of the time I'm regretting things I did or things I didn't because I'm a doer, decisive type person which is a strength, but it's also why I pushed a dude at youngest's xmas band deal because he stood right in front of my wife while she took a video.
Is catastrophic. This is a long-winded way of saying if you have the capacity to create, to care, to help you likely are the same person who could also destroy, hate, and harm those same folks the most for similar, but distorted reasons.
The older I get, the more I come to understand the old saying, "our strengths are our weaknesses." I can be meticulous, exacting, and demanding. In some situations, that's precisely what I need to be when things are broken at work and downtime costs $10k/ min. But being those things in dad mode...
