Perhaps it’s the (understandably) pessimistic atmosphere, but it feels like this holiday could be the last one that is, well, like we’ve come to expect for the last half century … Bit like Y2K panic but this time the world will in fact go to pot.

Good. It’s horrific how other platforms abused their reach to strangle local, independent, and national outlets alike.
