Star Trek, Drag Race, warm hugs, not a fan of authoritarians.
I had a nightmare where ICE deployed a sonic cannon that cut the sky in two and shattered people on the ground. Then their majesties Jinkx Monsoon and Shea Coulee drove the evil back to the sound of Lady Gaga's Judas. Should every protest be assigned a drag queen for safety?

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.

These guys are so clearly terrified. Spooked by their own wrongdoing. Alarmed that it’s all being recorded and disseminated before they can rewrite the story. Each bystander has a billion eyes, a billion ears. This is not what they signed up for. The recruitment propaganda promised glory, power, and

The Trump regime is smearing this man - Alex Pretti - as a “domestic terrorist.” We can’t let them get away with it.

Alex Pretti was a patriotic American - far more so than the ICE agent who murdered him on the streets of Minneapolis today. Far more so than Trump, Stephen Miller, or any of them.
A video of Alex Pretti reading out the final salute of an unnamed veteran he cared for until the end of his life in the ICU, posted to Facebook by his son.

Great call from Minneapolis public schools. Limit the harm as much as possible.

I’m so utterly repulsed and disgusted by the president and his lackeys. In my take on the Klingon tradition I say they are without honor and challenge them to a dance battle for the leadership of the country. They may choose the song. I’m sure it will be god awful and without soul.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

One of the republican town comities on cape warned that us lefties were bringing bear urine in super soakers to the protests. So I got to ask, who told the republicans about our strategic bear urine reserves?

I wish the blue states would just club together to save public broadcasting. Even if split only between Massachusetts, California and New York it should be doable.

I decided to be brave and I wrote up a new policy for democratic fundraising based on the campaign of @katmabu.bsky.social and I'm pushing it at my local Democratic town committee. I have no idea if it will go anywhere but I'm calling it the Heater Model.

While we are out here protesting federal monstering, this is a reminder that we still have a lot of work to do at the local level. We deserve police that are brave and confident enough to be calm when things get tense.
MSNBC reporter on ground in LA right now saying that from what he has seen the protestors have been peaceful but the LA Sheriff’s Dept in particular has been off the chain, quick to use tear gas and rubber bullets in an exceedingly aggressive manner

At the protest in Hyannis today someone leaned out of their car to give protesters these lovely pink flowers. When the cops approached they were given flowers and the police accepted and put it behind their ear while suggesting that this wasn’t super safe. This is the new policing standard #NoKings

I think blue states need to consider defunding their national guards. We are just subsidizing a tool to be used against us.

Big crowds at the Hyannis protest today. Counter protesters consisted of 5-6 Trump cars looking like this.

I am so proud of the Massachusetts Universities so far. Someone should ask. Columbia how it feels to be the most cowardly of the Ivies. The brave schools remaining need to hang together or they will surely hang separately.
