We can be very funny but people have to listen to us!
I already know that I'm brilliant just not in a normal way.
I'm also not allowed to acknowledge that I know that I'm brilliant, because that would be arrogant and what an awful look!

Official biopsy report just came through: tiny tumor is benign, HURRAY. Doctor told me it was unlikely to be malignant, but wanted to do a test to make sure. Huge thanks to the staff at @sunnybrookhsc.bsky.social.

Speaking alone for myself? that Trauma ruined my entire damn life; it does not get to do that, now.
At my big age, I am calling my own shots which include being very short upon the internet with faceless entities, *sometimes human-like*.

I bristle against all the writing rules but try to keep Orwell's in mind
*Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
Never use a long word where a short one will do.
If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
Never use the passive*

This is true of me as well;
it seems an effort for people to consistently render honesty,
but it's also hard for them to be consistently kind.
I have no problem being honest and truthful, but it turns out folx don't actually appreciate unvarnished truth. Being polite and direct isnt appreciated.
