Hi, folks.
Everybody, I just put a meeting with your manager and HR on your calendar to come to this meeting offsite from your normal workplace that we’re not telling anyone anything about. Don’t forget to bring your company tank keys and door badges!
Thanks - Connie in HR

sorry to share this again, at least this week I'll get (half) a paycheck and then in two more weeks things should start leveling out a little.
hey. I have been diagnosed with a (very treatable!) form of cancer, but I am also without health insurance until January which is making financial matters a bit rough.

so any help you can provide would be welcomed and appreciated.

Ah crap, I stocked up on everything except I forgot toilet paper. Now I’m not gonna have any currency when the apocalypse arrives here.

I already bought local when possible & avoided cheap stuff like SHEIN & Temu. W/ tariffs, now I ain’t buying nothing not mission critical, ain’t buying American, just ain’t buying. My wallet is now frozen in ice under the penguins on that empty tariff island.

Zero news in my area on DOGE elimination of federal Low Energy Income Assistance Program (LIEAP). So many elderly folks cannot afford winter heat without it. News, however, has kept us updated on a motorcyclist going 102 mph & got a $560 fine, who other than being an idiot harmed no one.

Shame the yard crew who started work with their loud af gas-powered gear before dawn today didn’t have a wood chipper with them. Would have made cleaning up their bodies easier.

By the way if you live in a US state with filial laws and your parents need care, you could be financially responsible.

I did not expect to see Soc Sec for me, but was expecting the caregivee to get what they put in. Medicare too. If SSA, Medicaid & Medicare disappear, care facilities will close or be private pay only. Where will old, ill people go? Meds will stop too, so will probably die awfully & save Elon money.

Oooh the slot machine replied to the tell me like I’m 5 email about what you did at work this week and is now ALIVE!
At 3:02 AM, our slot machines somehow became sentient. It may be best to avoid any “one arm” jokes.

Blah blah blah. Said schmaid. Whatever.
A federal judge in Washington said that the way the Trump administration set up and has been running Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency could violate the Constitution.

That’s the whole reason he cares about starlink. Anyone or any country who relies on it is beholden to him and he controls all access. He’s not philanthropic. He’s selfish, greedy and amoral. His gifts always have strings.
Musk has threatened to cut Ukraine's access to Starlink internet services over minerals.

Children, gather round…

Way back when, magical places existed called “stores.” You walked right in. Neat stuff sat on shelves, not even locked up, just buy and take it home instantly! Porch pirates didn’t exist. Life was faster. Things were WAY cheaper. It was so good to be young in the old days.

Waited two weeks for a vacuum filter to be delivered. Used to take 20 minutes to go, buy and install it. Are we winning yet?

In preparation for the cold days in Hell coming up, I’ve switched from Fahrenheit to Celsius so my brain feels warmer. This is about weather, not politics, but could apply either way.

I wonder who will end up owning the new nuclear reactors powering AI data centers.

Much of thousands of years of human writing, knowledge, stories, historical documents, letters, journals/diaries, oral history, &c are not digitized, ergo they are not included in AI models. We are relying on the knowledge of comparative toddlers.

Interesting coincidences that undersea cables carry 99% of data and voice traffic, repeated cutting of the North Sea cables, 2024 Congressional vote to review undersea safety and national security, and the heavy push in the US to move to Starlink.

Many in Congress see their opp to achieve ideal world (ideology varies) or make bank. Each sees in Musk what they want but not as he is. He does not think like 99.999% of people in ways most people cannot imagine. Normal political theory won’t work. He is consolidating power before they turn on him.

Do not underestimate the Rolfs. Men this age are still developing risk-reward center of brain, driven by testosterone, not responsible for or to anyone else, physically resilient & very easily manipulated. They don’t believe it, but they are disposable cannon fodder to their employer. Startup 101.
The men carrying out Musk's coup are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran.

Make them famous. And, eventually, when possible, arrest them and charge them with multiple felonies. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

Engineers between 19 and 24, most linked to Musk’s companies, are playing a key role as he seizes control of federal infrastructure.

I love day & its bright sky thing, but night is so much easier. I’m naturally cheerful, productive, organized, AWAKE. Maybe ADHD is just a massively mismatched chronotype. Let my
dopamine be free!

I should have been an ER doc on permanent night shift.

😡 Philips smart lights soon needing account. Bluetooth works fine. Do not need account to turn damned lights on at 4am so I don’t step on cat when I get up to check on other cat either dying or singing song of his people, hard to tell. I’m in IT, but I’m fast dumbing down my house.
