She said I hit it so well that I would probably be let in any orchestra that wanted to do Jurassic Park.

So you know I am holding onto this pride with me for as long as I can.

Have fun! I’m just heading back to Berlin for a week to tie up some loose ends and meet with friends, so it’s not really scary “diving into the deep end” thing this time.

I expect it will be relaxing, actually, without a wife and especially the kid coming along!

Overlap with CA and EU is great! Eastern time though, doesn’t work out as well (and is basically the reason I left my job)

I was writing stories at one point? Not sure when this was but feels like high school or college, so about 2004-2011.

I seem to have been into multiple worlds. Says it's inspired by Myst and Stargate, but probably also His Dark Materials.

I find it very similar to dreams. The person who had the dream finds it fascinating, and the dream itself it cobbled together from different parts of the person‘s subconscious, memories, etc. But its utterly irrelevant and uninteresting to people who they try to tell it to.

omg, not intentional, but tying this back to my Toonami post: bsky.app/profile/cjwi...

天地無用! is actually the name of an anime that they had on Toonami: Tenchi Muyo!
That’s even how you say the phrase.

Which I mean... yeah, sure, that's what the characters seem to imply: "heaven, earth, nothing, use"

Looking further, it just means like, "don't flip upside down"

He was happy to have recognized the song, but understanding the context of his father and the content of the song (wishing for one more day with someone who is gone) made it a sadder moment than he intended.

There’s no subtext here, I just remembered this memory from like 20+ years ago.
