Two weeks ago, when reacting to the 2022/23 school attendance report, the Minister for Education was dismissive of illness as being a factor.

Today, a separate report shows that child admissions to adult ICU *more than doubled* in 2023.

Many of those admitted for influenza will then get Covid-19 in hospital through nosocomial infection. Co-infection with both flu and Covid leads to increased morbidity and mortality, and increased duration of hospital stay. Yet little to no airborne infection control.

Just walked through clinic waiting room (cancer hospital) and majority of people don't have masks on. Are these pts not told that they're vulnerable to infection? I suppose if your oncologist isn't wearing a mask , why would you?
