A trans woman with a PhD who just wants the government to let her live her life in peace
That photo looks like something from Star Wars!

Take a well earned rest, the content of your reports is harrowing and you need to take the time to look after yourself 🫂🩷

I agree - and especially about him as a person!

Probably not the way I play it! 😂 (I’m working on it though!)

The theme tune is a masterpiece and made me learn to play the guitar. Unfortunately, I can’t play anymore due to a shoulder problem, which is why I’ve been learning piano.

Ah, you now know 3 people never to have had Covid (at least virtually anyway) 😀.

Absolute nonsense. I, a trans woman, haven’t been challenged in a couple of decades - and I don’t even consider myself to be unclockable, even if nobody ever seems to notice. But, I see GNC women challenged at least a couple of times a year.

On trans and non-binary individuals, Labour has gone further, including bringing back a form of Section 28, and that has absolutely nothing to do with the Supreme Court ruling so many supporters seem to think gets Labour off the hook for transphobic policies. 8/

Labour’s school guidance is Section 28 all over again for LGBTQ+ people
It’s not just a red flag – it’s a blaring siren.

Thank you for saying this Nadia, this may be targeted at my community, but reliance on looks and behaviour is going to catch so many cis people as well.

Sadly, Labour’s record on trans issues (and many others) gives me no reason for optimism your party will do the right thing.

It’s offensive for a Labour MP to post this today using the words Labour have distorted to mean our segregation. If Lauren actually means what she says, then she needs to take a public stand against the Labour leadership on this (and other issues). I’m only interested in clear actions at this point.

I added my objection to this language when I sent my complain to the BBC via the GLP campaign the other day. They’re institutionally transphobic so won’t listen though.

🤞
November 20, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Ah, but they don’t want to scare everyone into realising they’re talking about them!
November 20, 2025 at 4:37 PM
More likely:

“Are you trans?”
“WTF?”
“Your behaviour isn’t feminine enough, so you’re banned”

Meanwhile, the passing trans woman next in the queue just breezes on through…….

More details of why this is the case can be found here 👇
I’ve looked into where Lib Dems are coming from with their bizarre messaging about publishing the EHRC Code ASAP and I’ve done a kind of briefing statement in response.
This might be helpful to get the message across to the Lib Dems about what is actually needed right now.
Feel free to use & share!

Thanks Carla - although if it’s brought before parliament using the negative procedure it probably won’t be possible to stop it. It would be better for the government to be pressured to reject the draft code.

Yes, me too. This came across as her signalling the virtues of her party when we know kids are no longer with us because of the actions of the Labour Party - and frankly, we’ve probably lost some adults since April too.
November 20, 2025 at 12:59 PM
Yes, I know what you mean. All the time they stay they’re culpable for the Labour party’s actions. That said, if there‘s a leadership contest soon, it might be good for them to stay long enough to try to get a decent candidate on the member vote.

I like and respect Nadia, I do believe she’s on our side. But I wish she’d realise the Labour Party has lost its soul and cross the floor to join the Greens.
November 20, 2025 at 11:12 AM
Thank you Nadia - we know you’re personally on our side. But, on a day when we remember those we’ve lost and fight for those still here, it would be remiss not to comment that Labour are currently responsible for so much harm to the trans community in the UK.

The whole section in the draft code about questioning “biological sex”, demanding birth certificates and questioning people about the existence of a GRC was just nuts. I wrote extensively on it in my consultation response.

Quelle Surprise - the brave “feminist” icons we keep hearing about in the media turn out to have been wanting to impose misogynistic beauty and behavioural standards on women.

We did warn everyone but they chose not to listen.

I get that at work semi-regularly - our engineers sometimes forget themselves and then get all flustered because they just swore in front of a woman. It’s one of their more endearing qualities.

And even then don’t get old.

My cis neighbour‘s in real trouble then. She’s way butcher than I am and swears like a trooper!
