Tried something new this week. Sent 2 Geography teachers off ‘on location’ and Y7 watched on Teams from classrooms while they gave an expert session on weathering. Students sent live questions to be answered. Students loved it. Felt like an episode from Challenge Anneka! 😊

Any other secondary teachers finding large numbers of current Year 7 with really poor handwriting? Assuming partly Covid legacy. Best ways to tackle large numbers who need support alongside those who have mastered it?

An incredible moment last week where my Year 7 class interviewed 3 ex students who I taught almost 20 years ago. Their ability to articulate the difference English lessons had made to their lives was humbling. A powerful reminder of why we do what we do. They are all absolutely flying!
