last night, I set out to bake apple muffins. Couldn't find the muffin tins, so I opted for an apple.... loaf? Not quite bread, not quite muffin, completely uncooked in the middle (even though I tested to make sure...)

My husband and I took today off from unpacking and organizing and did a little road trip, all within 10 miles of our home, to pen-mar park, a big rock, some beer, and apples.
I still got 4 boxes unpacked & he mowed the lawn.

Went to the National Shrine at Catholic University tonight for a free organ concert.
CUA has a lot of reminders all over campus to be hospitable & kind. DC seems to have forgotten how to do that anymore. Be hospitable to strangers for there may be angels among them unaware to you.

we just spent 10 days in Colorado going from denver to cripple creek (sing it! SING THE SONG BABYYY!) to leadville where my husband got so altitude sick (10,154 ft!) I almost brought him to the hospital.
